Babu Banarasi Das U.P. Badminton Academy:- Keeping in view, the vast potential of the state of Uttar Pradesh is to produce outstanding Badminton players, U.P. Badminton Association has acquired 10 acre Land from Government of Uttar Pradesh and constructed a Badminton Academy where all the local and State’s talent can be trained and developed into world class players of the future, who can also perspective of winning Medals in Asian Championships, World Championships as well as in Olympics. The first phase is complete & operational.
The Academy is being constructed in two phase. The first phase consists of Indoor Badminton Complex, Tennis Courts, Fintess & Sports Injury Rehabilitation Centre and Lawns.
Uttar Pradesh Badminton Association is a sports body registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860 and is affiliated to Badminton Association of India. The Association is considered to be one of the best run Sports Association in the County which has not only produced great National and International Badminton players but has also organized several prestigious National and international Events.
The Office-bearers of U.P. Badminton Association always occupies important positions in the Apex National Body of Badminton viz. Badminton Association of India and U.P. Badminton Association is greatly respected by BAI. U.P. Badminton Association greatly contributes for the development of the game of Badminton in the country under BAI.
