About UPBA
The Uttar Pradesh Badminton Association (UPBA) is the governing body for badminton in Uttar Pradesh. Registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, and affiliated with the Badminton Association of India (BAI), UPBA is dedicated to the promotion, development, and administration of badminton across the state.
Recognized as one of India’s most professionally managed sports associations, UPBA has played a pivotal role in nurturing badminton talent for decades. The Association has produced numerous national and international players who have brought pride to Uttar Pradesh and India while consistently organizing prestigious state, national, and international championships.
UPBA has earned the respect of the Badminton Association of India through its commitment to excellence, transparency, and the overall development of the sport. Babu Banarasi Das Badminton Academy
Developing Champions of Tomorrow
The Babu Banarasi Das Badminton Academy, established and operated by UPBA, is one of India’s premier badminton training centres and the only federation-run badminton academy in the country.
Built on a 10-acre campus allotted by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, the academy provides world-class infrastructure, experienced coaching, and a high-performance training environment for talented players from across the state.
Founded with the vision of creating future champions, the academy focuses on developing athletes capable of competing—and winning—at the highest levels, including the Asian Championships, World Championships, Commonwealth Games, and the Olympic Games.
